What we do
- Every listing is reviewed by a person before it goes live.
- Landlords and contractors are identity-verified.
- Messages stay on the platform, so there is a record.
- Reported listings are investigated, and an upheld report takes the advert down immediately.
How to spot a rental scam
Rental fraud follows a pattern. Be suspicious if:
- You are asked to pay a deposit or holding fee before viewing.
- The landlord says they are abroad and cannot show you the property.
- You are pushed to decide immediately, or told others are waiting.
- You are asked to pay by bank transfer, cryptocurrency, or a money transfer service.
- The rent is far below everything else in the area.
- The conversation is moved off the platform straight away.
Viewing safely
- Tell someone where you are going and when you expect to be back.
- View in daylight where you can, and consider taking someone with you.
- Keep your phone charged and to hand.
